Soccer School News

Almost 200 children take part in Coleraine FC Academy Soccer School at the University Grounds on Saturday mornings. The Spring Session has just finished, we thank you the players for your commitment on those cold wet mornings. As for the parents, a huge salute and thank you for transporting and encouraging your kid

Welcome to Coleraine FC School of Soccer.

Coleraine FC Academy School of Soccer is has just finished its Spring Session of 2009.

The School provides an introduction to soccer for boys and girls aged between 6 and 13. Throughout it’s existence the constant aim of the School has been to allow children to have fun playing soccer, to help them to develop sound basic skills, to increase their enjoyment of the game and to provide a foundation for them to progress to higher levels. “Graduates” of the School of Soccer are now to be found playing in most local youth teams. Coleraine FC Academy will run league teams from Under-10 to Under-17 and compete very successfully in the Coleraine and North West District Youth League and Mid-Ulster Youth League. Boys from this system have gone on to represent both County Antrim and County Londonderry teams in the Milk Cup, to represent Coleraine in the Foyle Cup and are involved in other prestigious tournaments.

Coleraine FC Academy School of Soccer will run on Saturday mornings at Coleraine University playing fields. New members of all ages are particularly welcome. Places are limited, due to pitch size and the need for an appropriate coach: child ratio, and are allotted on a first come first served basis. Any parents wishing to enroll their children should ensure that they attend at least 15 minutes before the training session commences. All children attending the Soccer School have to be registered and registration can be completed on the day. Training for 6-8/9 year olds will take place from 9.30-10.30 and 9-13 year olds will train from 11.00-12.30. Training will be on grass therefore boots are the appropriate footwear, don't forget your shinguards. The School is run entirely by volunteers and it operates a child protection policy. New coaches and helpers are always needed and full training and support will be provided. Further information, including requests for registration forms, can be obtained by calling 028 70835146 after 6.00 pm.

Update

TESCO VOUCHERS FOR SCHOOLS

We are currently collecting Tesco Vouchers for Schools. One of our main expenses in running the club is replacing worn out training kit e.g. baals, cones, bibs, nets etc. The club receives little or no funding and relies entirely on volunteer help. You can help by collecting the vouchers which can exchanged for kit and even professional training lessons. Please bring the vouchers to the soccer school and leave at the desk - thank you.

LOST PROPERTY

We accumulate an amazing amount of tops and assorted other items of clothing over the season.  We keep it safe so if you are missing any items please ask at the desk.  We also still have unclaimed items from last season.

ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CLUB ARE APPRECIATED, WRITE, E-MAIL, PHONE OR CHAT TO
