From six year olds to sixteen numbering 300 young men and women, what other local youth organisation can boast such numbers in Coleraine? Coleraine Football Club Academy formed from the merger of Tullans and Triangle FC last year and held its first Awards Night at an unusual but what was in fact a terrific venue, The Vineyard Church, Coleraine – Thank-You.

Club Chairman Dessie Bradley compared the event which heard from speakers, Mayor Gilkinson, Davy Platt, Hugh Wade, Iam McFaul and Andy Alcorn. Other special guests present were, Victor Hunter, Andy Magowan, Stephen Carson, John Neill, Tony Young, Alan Millar, Danny Woods, John McLaughlin, Adrian McLaughlin and Colin McKendry. Winning players were awarded with leading goalscorer, merit award and the coveted player of the year.

A large number of players and parents attended the event which celebrates the junior arm of Coleraine Football Club. They heard from various speakers how the club had performed in its first year. The club now say farewell to the eldest U17 group, we wish them best wishes hoping they enjoyed wearing the blue and white of the club.

A successful club needs staff and thankfully there is dedication right across the age groups from people of all walks of life who give up their valuable time to develop our local youth. Our Website www.colerainefcacademy.com has developed to be the main point of contact for the club and it is now one of the most active in youth soccer not only locally but province wide. Also thanks must go out to the clubs sponsors who help pay the bills, a big THANK-YOU.

More thanks to you the players and their parents/guardians for all their continuing support.

Special Guests; Victor Hunter, Stephen Quinn (Director of Football), Andy Magowan, Stephen Carson, John Neill, Tony Young, Alan Millar, Davy Platt Chairman Dessie Bradley
